Accessibility statement

Everyone should be able to book a bay

Smash Factor Lounge wants every customer to be able to find a time, book it, sign the waiver and manage their membership on this site, whatever device or assistive technology they use. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA across the site, and we test the booking, waiver, account and membership flows against that standard before each release.

What you can expect

  • Every step of booking, signing and paying works with a keyboard alone. A Skip to content link is the first thing on every page.
  • The booking grid can be driven with the arrow keys, and there is a list layout that reads each hour and its bays in order. Both say the same thing to a screen reader.
  • Form fields are labelled, errors are announced and are linked to the field they belong to, and confirmation dialogs can be dismissed with Escape.
  • Text colours meet a 4.5:1 contrast ratio against their background.
  • If your device asks for reduced motion, the site’s animations are turned off.

What we know is not there yet

  • The signed copy of your waiver is a PDF composed from the original paper form. It is a legal record and is not yet tagged for screen readers; the text you agreed to is available on the waiver page itself, and we will send it as text on request.
  • Some photographs of the facility and our instructors are still to come from the club, and their descriptions with them.
  • Payment is handled by Stripe inside this site. Its card form is Stripe’s own and is maintained to its accessibility standards, not ours.

Tell us what is in the way

If any part of this site is hard to use, or you would rather book with a person, email info@smashfactorlounge.com or call the club on the number in the footer. Please say which page and what happened, and which browser or assistive technology you were using. We answer within two working days, and we fix what we can as soon as we can.
